Finance Ministry Introduced Common Interview For IBPS Exam Qualifiers – A Revolutionary Step For Benefiting All Qualified Candidates
IBPS is an institution which is authorized to conduct a common entrance exam for all 19 public sector banks excepting SBI (State Bank Of India). IBPS has till now conducted two CWE for Probationary Officer, two CWE for Specialist Officers and one CWE for clerical cadre for 19 public sector bank. When this decision of common written exam for bank recruitment was implied it was very widely appreciated and huge number or you may say record number of candidates appeared for the CWE conducted but after the results declared the whole scenario changed lots of drawbacks came out of this CWE. Both participating banks and qualified candidates suffered a lot.
Candidates where allotted score card with a score according to their performance and therefore banks have to issue their recruitment applications according to their criteria. Now all banks want to have better scoring candidates and each banks are unaware of each other’s working process therefore only those candidates with high score were able to apply for the vacancies and they got the juicy opportunity because they got chance to give interview in maximum number of banks and after all they are left with choices to choose bank but other candidates who score low are left out without getting a chance for appearing in interview and bank have also to pay for it because candidates who get selected in four to five banks can only join one bank and therefore rest other are left vacant.
Thousands of candidates who qualified the written exam but didn’t get the chance to appear in the interview had raise their voice and when this matter got really serious now Finance Ministry has to take some step regarding it. They have discussed a lot and tried to find out a proper solution for it so that every qualified candidate could appear for the interview and to show their potential. Finance Ministry resolved that there should be a common interview for all those qualified candidates so that they get equal chance.
Now with this every candidate will be able to show their potential and bank will sort out their candidate according to their merit. This will work such as suppose 10000 candidates qualified for CWE now they will be called for next process that common interview which will be conducted at different centers in different states similar to CWE. Therefore every qualified candidate will be able to appear in the interview. Now after this there will be a merit list declared according to the combined performance of interview and CWE. Banks will call the candidates according to their required criteria for final joining.
Through this process banks will also get easy to select candidates and candidates will also be able to choose banks according to their merit rank. One problem is still revolving that every bank have different educational criteria therefore with this common interview they will not be able to sort their candidates. Finance Ministry is still deciding on this topic and they are nearly to finalize that they could seal a common educational criteria which will be applicable for all banks. It could be graduation passed from any recognized university or institution for clerk whereas minimum 55% in graduation for Probationary Officer. But this process is to be applicable for those IBPS CWE which are to be conducted from July 2012 onwards and therefore candidates who have qualified in previous exams are not going to be benefited with it and they need to go for another attempt.
Thank you for sharing. Now easy to find job in bank through ibps single entrance test.
